The Company

Optimum Buying Ltd was established in Paris in 1995 by a group of experienced sourcing agents. Our mission is to ensure that customers have the opportunity to buy products from manufacturers around the world, according to their needs.

The company was set up as one of the first continent-wide European sourcing offices at a time when most other buying offices limited their sourcing to the country in which they were based. This strategy offers better service to customers by covering a larger geographical territory with access to suppliers from multiple countries.  It also ensures that the product offerings are tailored to each customer’s needs with a maximum choice of price points and product qualities.

Shipping over 5000 containers annually from over 200 vendors, OB offers a broad range of products, from high-end items such as a $1 million personal submarine to value-priced products at less than $1.  The company currently works with vendors in over 30 countries, sourcing hard goods, soft goods and food products and has customer and supplier relationships that have lasted since the company’s first year.  Always evolving, OB is conscious of the need to stay relevant and continues to grow its vendor base in new and emerging markets.

Based in Europe with offices in the UK, France, Portugal and Italy, the team has easy access to the manufacturers and international trade fairs across the continent, enabling us to represent clients at each market.  This extensive range ensures OB understands and stays ahead of the market trends. Relevant information is shared with customers, who in turn use it to better manage their import businesses.
